Marine-themed lecture to be held in Xiamen on July 30
A marine-themed lecture is scheduled to be held at Xiamen Science and Technology Museum on July 30.
Given by Wang Zhi, a post-doctorate researcher at the College of Ocean and Earth Science of Xiamen University, the lecture will focus on the intertidal organisms and epibenthos that are commonly seen in Chinese coastal waters, unmasking the mysterious life of the marine benthos.
It is noted that the on-site lecture will begin at 15:00, while the online lecture will open at 16:00. Anyone who is interested can join the online streaming on the official Weibo account of the 70.8 Media Lab.
Accordingly, the lecture is among a series of activities recently held in Xiamen, which are designated to popularize marine knowledge as well as to raise public awareness of marine conservation.
Supported by the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Ocean Development, these events were launched by the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science (MEL) of Xiamen University, the 70.8 Media Lab and the Xiamen Marine International Cooperation Center.
