Xiamen Ocean Vocational College wins China Cup International Regatta championship
The 14th China Cup International Regatta kicked off at Daya Bay in Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong province from March 23rd to 26th.
Xiamen Ocean Vocational College Sailing Team, a local sailing team from East China’s Fujian province, won the championship in J80 category.
Founded in 2007, the China Cup International Regatta has been held for 13 editions, and has become one of top three sailing events worldwide.
Accordingly, this year’s regatta consists of five categories, attracting more than 100 sailing teams from China, United States, France, Austria and Russia.
It is worth mentioning that their owned boat named “Xiamen Ocean Vocational College” made debut at the regatta, which helped the team achieve such good prize.
"In the future, the college is committed to becoming the training, R&D and technical service center for national sailing and yacht education, and will further deepen school-enterprise integration of sailing industry in Fujian province," said an official from Xiamen Ocean Vocational College.
It is noted that Xiamen Ocean Vocational College is renowned for its achievements in the sport of sailing, which has won 18 championships including China Cup International Regatta, China Club Challenge Match, Round Hainan Regatta and City Clubs Open Regatta International.
