Roundtable Meeting of “Multi-stakeholder Collaboration for a Sustainable Blue Partnership" Held Online
Jointly hosted by China Aquatic Products Processing and Marketing Alliance and Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Ocean Development, the 2022 China Seafood Summit was officially open in Xiamen city of southeast China’s Fujian province on Nov.16.
Guided by Bureau of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs,Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and National Fisheries Technology Extension Center, China Society of Fisheries, with theme on " Gathering Strength and Empowerment to Achieve Steady and Long-term Progress", this summit aims to explore new ways to meet challenges and needs in the aquatic market.
Cui He, President of China Aquatic Products Processing and Marketing Alliance, attended and made in-depth analysis on the summit. Marcio Castro de Souza, senior fishery officer of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), made a report on the “Current Situation and Trends in a Nutshell from a Trade Perspective” via video link. Other industry-leading enterprises shared and discussed topics centering on transformation, upgrading and innovation as well as brand building in the aquatic market.
With the changes of residents' consumption habits and supply chains, this summit also focused on the development of prefabricated aquatic dishes, consumption of aquatic products, blue food certification, market expansion of high-end imported seafood.
This summit has received strong supports from fishery authorities, industry associations, technology alliances, scientific research institutions, enterprises and media.
