172 fishbone artworks on display in Jimei University
An exhibition on fishbone art opened its door on Nov 5 in the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Museum of Jimei University in Xiamen, East China’s Fujian province, and will last until Dec 10.
On the theme of “Art Brings Back Life”, the Lin Hanbing Fishbone Artwork Exhibition is a program supported by the city’s special funds to develop culture and art in 2022.
Honored as the No.1 fishbone artist in Xiamen, Lin began to conduct artistic creation and research on fishbone in the 1990s.
A total of 172 fishbone artworks were on display, including 120 fishbone pictures and 7 fishbone installation artworks created by Lin Hanbing, 25 fishbone pictures by students from the Fisheries College of Jimei University, and 20 by artists from the Oriental Contemporary Marine Art Alliance.
It is worth mentioning that the popularization and education base for ornamental marine species in Jimei University designed a knowledge gallery to popularize fishbone art.
As a special activity of the Ocean Science Open Day of Jimei University, the exhibition was jointly hosted by the Fisheries College of Jimei University, Fujian Arts and Crafts Society, and Xiamen Municipal Marine and Fishery Society.
