A total of 11 meetings were held, attracting representatives from 16 countries such as Canada, Chile, Peru, the Philippines, Russia and Malaysia, and more than 10 international organizations such as UNDP China, Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA) and the World Economic Forum (WEF).

A series of significant policies were launched to strengthen the support for the marine industry. The exhibitions achieved a total area of 50,000 square meters, more than 400 exhibitors, attracting nearly 100,000 professional merchants and citizens.

The ocean carnival activities attracted total 260,000 participants, which further popularized marine science knowledge, bridged the gap between researchers and the public, continuously improved people's awareness to protect ocean environment.
