China-EU Blue Forward Investment Forum 2025 held in Xiamen

The China-EU Blue Forward Investment Forum 2025 was held in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, from November 6 to 8.
Wu Bin, Mayor of Xiamen, Zhang Zongyi, President of Xiamen University and Dai Minhan, Director of Fujian Ocean Innovation Center and Chair Professor of Xiamen University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.
The forum was attended by over 200 guests and representatives from the governments, research institutions, enterprises, and financial agencies.
The China-Europe Blue Forward Fund, initiated by Fujian Ocean Innovation Center and Seventure Partners, was officially established at the opening ceremony.
The fund's initial fundraising size reached 2 billion euros ($2.3 billion), with a parallel fund of 10 billion yuan established under the same framework. The fund will primarily focus on investments in sustainable blue economy and related industries.
In addition, Fujian Ocean Innovation Center signed multiple cooperation agreements with enterprises from home and abroad, marking a new phase for the implementation of blue economy projects .
The forum, organized by Fujian Ocean Innovation Center, BioMarine Organization and Fujian Provincial Department of Ocean and Fisheries, aimed to strengthen further connections between in the marine industry and capital sectors between China and Europe, as well as to accelerate technology transfer and industrial incubation.
